The Golden Bridge opened in 2018 and gained worldwide fame immediately. It is 150 meters long and 5 meters wide and resembles a golden ribbon being held by two huge stone hands. The hands, modelled on the mythical "hands of gods," give the illusion of grasping the bridge and holding it up in the air.
The bridge was built as part of the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort complex, at a height of around 1,400 meters above sea level. It connects the cable car station and the Le Jardin D'Amour gardens, with panoramic views of green mountains blanketed with flora and overlooking the city of Da Nang below. The Golden Bridge has become a Da Nang tourism symbol and solid tourist draw since its opening on Vietnam tours.

Timing is everything to make the most out of the Golden Bridge. The bridge is up in the air, and the weather can change in the blink of an eye. The best time to visit is early in the morning at 7:00 a.m., when the mist still envelops the mountains and the crowds have not yet arrived. It is the golden hour for photography, soft light, no people, and the mystical feeling of being able to walk among the clouds.
Late afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. onward, is another great time to visit. By then, most tour groups have already left, and the sunset light gives the golden railings a warm glow. Weather-wise, the best time for a clear view is during the dry season between March and September. Ba Na Hills does get cool, misty, and even rainy between October and February, so do take a look at the weather forecast before heading up.
