Dray Nur Waterfall
Dray Nur Waterfall is situated in Buon Kuop Hamlet, Krong Ana District, around 25 km from Buon Ma Thuot City. If you depart from northern or southern towns, we advise taking a flight to Buon Ma Thuot first, which helps you save time and effort. You will land at Buon Ma Thuot Airport after 1 to 2 hours, depending on your departure point. From Buon Ma Thuot, drive in the southwest direction for 40 minutes, then welcome to Dray Nur Waterfall.
Dak Lak’s weather is divided into two seasons: rainy season (May-October) and dry season (November-April). Dray Nur Waterfall shows different appearances at different times of the year, so you can choose your ideal time to travel as you wish.
If you prefer a heart-pumping adventure, the rainy season is a good time. At this time, flows of water in Dray Nur intensely pour down to the stream below, showing the majesty of the highland of Vietnam. Otherwise, visit Dray Nur in the dry season to behold a completely different beauty: water flows gently, the clear blue sky, and sunlight filters through the canopy.
Flows of water pour down, creating white foam
Dray Nur and Dray Sap Waterfall are symbols of a love tragedy. According to the folk, there was a couple who were madly in love with each other. Unfortunately, their families didn’t support this relationship, and they tried to separate the young couple. Being desperate and hopeless, the girl and the boy decided to drown themselves in the Srepok River.
The river was touched and grieved over their love story, then it was separated into 2 branches and formed the Dray Nur and Dray Sap Waterfall, known as "the Wife" and "the Husband" Waterfall, respectively.
You will be impressed by the wild, untouched beauty of the waterfall. Upon the straight up cliff pour down the pure water from the Srepok River, exploding white foam when it crashes the lake surface underneath. Standing on a rock emerged out of the lake, taking a deep breath of fresh air, and waving your hands under the cool water are great experience to connect with the natural beauty of the Vietnam highland.
A perfect spot to take your photo
A feature that makes Dray Nur a top attractive waterfall in Vietnam is that it hides a mysterious cave behind its intense flows. You need to go through the layer of water pouring down the waterfall to get into the cave. Covering an area of nearly 3,000 square meters, it’s a lot to explore here.
Due to a lack of natural light, you will need a flashlight and a local guide to ensure your safety. While going deeper inside, feel the chill air running on our skin and listen to the echoing sound of water dropping. Such a suspenseful and thrilling experience!
