Location and how to get there 

Khe Van Waterfall is located in Huc Dong Commune, Binh Lieu District, Quang Ninh Province, near the Vietnam-China border. This is an area famous for its beautiful mountain scenery and fresh weather all year round.

Khe Van Waterfall is about 270km from the center of Hanoi. Visitors can travel by private car or bus, and the travel time will take about 5 to 6 hours. From Hanoi, you can follow the direction of the Hanoi-Hai Phong Highway, then turn onto Highway 18 towards Ha Long City. Continue to Cam Pha, then turn onto Highway 279, then go straight to Binh Lieu Town. From here, you go about 15km more to Huc Dong Commune, where the waterfall is located.

In addition, if your starting point is from Ha Long City - the center of Quang Ninh Province, you can follow the direction of National Highway 18 to the northeast to Hoanh Mo intersection, then turn onto National Highway 18C to reach Binh Lieu District, and it is about 120km. Then, continue the journey as above to reach Khe Van Waterfall. The travel time will take about 2 to 3 hours by car or private motorbike.

History 

Khe Van Waterfall was formed from natural streams originating from the high mountain peaks of the Binh Lieu mountain range. Over thousands of years, the water has eroded the limestone layers, creating three consecutive waterfalls, each with its unique beauty. The name "Khe Van" in the Tay ethnic language means "a small stream with many waterfalls".
