Moreover, visiting An Hoa at this time, you will find lush green grass fields, creating the perfect setting for outdoor activities.
An Hoa Sheep Field in the morning
The best time to experience An Hoa Sheep Field is early in the morning from 6:30 to 7:30 AM, when the sunlight is soft, the sky is high and blue with floating white clouds, or in the late afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, when the golden sunlight slowly sets. At these times, you can see local herders leading their flocks to graze, also the perfect moment for photography.
If you wish to experience the nomadic lifestyle like the locals, you can visit between 5:30 and 6:30 PM, when daily life on the fields unfolds in the most authentic way.
Watch the Free-Roaming Sheep
As one of the largest natural sheep-grazing areas in Khanh Hoa, each farm here has around 100–200 sheep. Today, An Hoa is recognized as the largest free-grazing sheep field in Vietnam, making it a must-visit destination in Khanh Hoa for anyone looking to capture some truly unique check-in photos.
Because the sheep are free-roaming, they can be quite shy. It’s best to approach them slowly and carefully to avoid startling the herd. If you have difficulties taking photos, you can always ask for help from local herders or villagers.
Taking some art check-in photos
When visiting, remember to ask permission from the herders if you’d like to take photos with their flocks. You can also request some “la nem” leaves – the sheep’s favorite food. Feeding them while taking photos will give you the chance to capture even more authentic and memorable moments.
