Hoa Binh Tour 2-Day: Explore Thung Nai & Hoa Binh Hydropower

Depart from Hanoi and head towards Hoa Binh. Start by visiting the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant and the Uncle Ho Monument on Ong Tuong Mountain, where visitors often light incense in tribute to Uncle Ho. The monument, made from white stone, stands gracefully amidst the waters of the Da River, offering a peaceful and nostalgic spot for reflection, surrounded by beautiful nature.

10:45 AM: Arrive at Thung Nai Port, where you’ll board a small boat for a scenic journey along the Thung Nai River, located on the serene Da River. On the islands, you’ll find three Muong houses tucked away behind the green peaks of the mountains, adding to the charm of the area.

11:00 AM: Break for lunch at Green Island, enjoying local specialties from Peace Lake.

3:00 PM: After lunch, enjoy free time to explore Green Island. You can try activities such as fishing, sailing, swimming, or simply take photos dressed in traditional national costumes. Prepare for the evening campfire program.

Evening: Relax and take in the stunning sunset over the island.

7:30 PM: Enjoy a traditional dinner featuring unique and delicious dishes such as grilled fish, chicken, and farm-raised pork.

9:00 PM: After dinner, gather around the campfire for a fun-filled evening of dancing, games, and laughter. For those who enjoy singing, there will be a karaoke session.

12:00 AM: Stay overnight on Green Island, immersed in nature and the peaceful ambiance.

Wake up early at 5 am to catch the sunrise. Breakfast is served with hot chicken porridge, a specialty of the native Dao people.

After breakfast, embark on a boat ride to visit the Temple of the Waterfalls, sacred to the Muong and Dao people, located at the heart of the lake.

Next, explore Thac Bo Cave, famous for its grand entrance and stunning stalactites formed over many years. Inside, you’ll find majestic statues, including the 20-meter-high statue of the Buddha and Quan Yin.

Continue your journey around the lake, passing through fish cages and enjoying views of the small islands.

Next, visit Suoi Trach Waterfall, an ideal spot for a refreshing natural spring bath with crystal-clear, cool water—perfect for a summer escape.

At noon, return to Green Island for lunch. After lunch, enjoy some rest before preparing to board the boat back to Thung Nai.

At 3:00 PM, board the vehicle for your return trip to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi by 5:00 PM, where the trip concludes.
