This is absolutely the best of Cambodia tour designed for families with kids, with the visits to the best places in Siem Reap, Phnompenh, Kep and Sihanoukville beach. Start the tour from Siem Reap where the Angkor Complex is everyone’s favorite thing to see in Cambodia. You will also enjoy the spectacular sunset from the temple, go elephant cruising, have temple visits, and take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake to visit floating village. You will then leave for from Phnom Penh and visit most highlighted sites of the capital city. At the end of our tour, you will have 3 days relaxing at the beautiful Kep and Sihanoukville Beach to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, diving or just lazing about. Itinerary

Seam Reap Departure
Warmly welcome you on arrival in Seam Reap International Airport. Our guide will pick up  to your hotel to check-in, and you will have time to take a rest after a long flight. And then the rest of day is on your own, you can make an impression on the city by night by exploring yourself.

Angkor Highlighted Temples (B)
Today, we will take the whole day to explore Angkor Highlighted Temples Complex.
 
Recognized as World’s Heritage Site, Angkor Complex was the largest and most important archaeologist sites in Southeast Asia. It contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. The Complex comprises numerous monuments in Khmer architecture which is naturalistic and complicated.
 
The first destination is Ta Prohm, which is nearly disappeared in jungle and surrounded tropical forests. It was a monastery and a Mahayanist Buddhism School, constructed by the king Khmer Jayavarman VII in late 12th century and early 13th century.

We continue to visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious heritage site all over the world. The King Khmer Jayavarman II constructed Angkor Wat in early 12th century as his own mausoleum. It is a mixture in 2 basic Khmer architectures: mountainous – temple architecture.

In the afternoon, we will continue to explore the mysteriousAngkor Thom – the longest and the last capital of the Khmer Empire. Lying beside Tonle Sap Lake, it was constructed by the king Khmer Jayavarman VII in late 12th century in Bayon architecture.

Then, we
visit the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII.
We return to the hotel and you will have time to explore Seam Reap by night by yourself.

Riding horse – Circus show at 8:00PM (B)
After breakfast time, go to The Happy Ranch Horse Farm and your family will have a chance to explore both ancient temples and authentic Cambodian’s rural life by horse. This is a well-established institution where horses are available for riding. Riding a horse through paddy fields, visiting authentic places and observing traditional customs makes you have fun.

You will be free until we pick you up to watch a circus show Phare, The Cambodian Circus at 8:00 PM. IIt is not only a conventional circus, but also an emphasis on artistic performance and a social message behind each one. Phare artists will not make you disappointed with their talents, enthusiasm and artistic energies.

BanteaySrei Temple – Phnom Kulen – BanteaySrei Butterflies Centre – Seam Reap (B, L)
In the morning, we take a visit to BanteaySrei, which is the smallest but magnificent temple of the Complex, dedicated to the Hindu God - Shiva. Banteay Srei was completely built in the 14th century with red sandstones, which made it a masterpiece of artistic sculpture.

We continue visiting Phnom Kulen.This mountain range is considered as a significantly religious mountain of Hindus and Buddhists. The main attraction is the waterfall on the top of Kulen Mountain, which provides water for Seam Reap and dominates the skyline of all flat plains surrounds.

Nearby Phnom Kulen is The river of 1000 Lingas. It is very spiritually, historically, and culturally important in terms of agriculture since it flows down to Angkor Wat and into the Siem Reap River - which turns flows into Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Cambodia.

We will have a picnic lunch, thenback to Seam Reap. En route, we have chance to visit BanteaySrei Butterfly Centre – where kids love. It features a live display of Cambodian butterflies. This is the largest butterfly exhibit in South East Asia. It comprises a tropical garden with thousands species of butterfly.
Return to the hotel and you are free at leisure.

Kayak on Tonle Sap Lake –Flight to Phnompenh (B)
In the morning, after having breakfast, we will drive to southern of Siam reap to embark on a short cruise to Tonle Sap Lake. You will have a chance to take a kayaking to experience the floating fishing villages of Chong Kneas, which is truly a must visit in the same way as the temples. There are floating houses, markets, schools, and so on. The main means of transport of the inhabitants on the lake is the engine boat. While kayaking on the lake, youcansee many women in the dugout selling all kinds of things.
 
The Tonle Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia. Most of population inhabited around the bank of the Lake earn a living by catching fish and making agricultures. This lake offers a great biodiversity, over 300 species of freshwater fish, as well as snakes, crocodiles, turtles, otters and water birds.
 
In the afternoon, you will be free until transfer to the airport, taking a flight to Phnompenh. The rest of the day is on your own or you might want to take a street food tour in the evening (optional). You will have a chance to explore Seam Reap by night by tuktuk, from the customs of local people to the activities for tourists. You can enjoy dinner with beer or soft drink in local beer garden, visiting night markets, or you might want to experience foot massage by fish. And then, we will take you back to your hotel by tuktuk.

Phnompenh City Tour (B)
Located in the confluence of Mekong river, Tonle Sap and Basaac, Phnompenh was considered as Paris of the East. The tough past of Kingdom of Cambodia, including the period of being French’s colony, has been sharply affecting Phnompenh nowadays.

The first destination of city tour is the TuolSleng Genocide Museum. It shows us the genocidal crimes of Khmer Rouge in the ruling period from 1975 to 1979. In the four-year ruling of Khmer Rouge, Tuol Sleng detained about 17.000 people, most of them were soldiers under ruling, who was blamed for betraying.

Next, we visit National Museum, built by French colonial government with the mixture in architecture: French and Khmer. Known as the top of the museums of archaeology and literature in Cambodia, it has the biggest Khmer artistic and religious collections in the world.

We continue to visit Royal Palace, a complex of buildings built in 1866 where the Kings of Kingdom of Cambodia lived, except for the period that Cambodia was under of Khmer Rouge ruling.

We will finish the city tour by visiting Silver Pagoda. Being an important and famous pagoda in Cambodia, Silver Pagoda has more than 5000 handmade pieces of silver paved on the floor. There is a place of cultural and religious precious objects storing, more than its worshipping function.

You will be on your own in the evening, or you might want to enjoy aleisure cruise on Mekong river (optional) with a private catered dinner by well-known chef. The dishes are mainly done with grill and BBQ along with drinks like local beers while you are enjoying the sunset and taking sights along the river bank. You’ll earn a rare, but great opportunity to see the floating villagers and fishermen’s activities. Cruise back to the port and transfer back to your hotel.

Phnom Tamao Rescue Centre - Kep (B, L)
Located 40km south from Phnompenh, Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre is the largest zoo in Cambodia. It was established in 1995, takes care for about 1,200 rescued animals. There are many rare and endangered species in the zoo: elephantstigers, crocodilesun bears,… The kids will have fun vising such an interesting place.
Having a lunch and then we will transfer to Kep to check-in hotel there.

Kep – Kampot – Sihanoukville (B, L)
In the morning, you will have a breakfast and then we picked you up to take a visit in Kampot. We will have a chance to visit pepper plantations, durian plantations and rice fields, which is famous in Kampot, and then have a lunch in a restaurant or local’s home in Kampot.
In the afternoon, we transfer to Sihanoukville. En route, we come to Bokor Hill. There is a cool climate, cloudy all over the year. It is 1080m higher than sea level, where we can have a great sight to Kep beach, Kampot and Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. It is such a must-visit place when you come to Kampot.
Check-in the hotel in Sihanoukville and you are free at leisure.
