Cambodia Tour 13 days: A deep insight

Arrive in Siem Reap, the capital of the province and the gateway to the ancient temples of Angkor. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our driver and tour guide for a warm welcome and transfer to your hotel. 

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap and drive 37 km north to visit Banteay Srei Temple, known for its intricate pink sandstone carvings and exquisite detailing. Afterward, we will return to visit Banteay Samre, a beautiful Angkorian temple featuring well-preserved bas-reliefs depicting mythological stories. Next, we will stop at Preah Dak Village and enjoy lunch at local Restaurant. 

In the afternoon, we will visit East Mebon, a 10th-century temple built on an island in the reservoir, notable for its large sandstone towers. Then, we will explore Neak Pean, an artificial island and Buddhist healing temple set in a large sacred pond. Finally, we will visit Preah Khan, a massive 12th-century temple complex with extensive corridors, lively carvings, and a peaceful atmosphere. Afterward, we will drive back to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Visit to the picturesque Ta Prohm, a temple nearly swallowed by the jungle, overgrown with roots that create an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of ancient trees pushing between the massive stone blocks evoke feelings that may stay with you forever. Next, continue to explore the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most impressive archaeological sites. The temple is renowned for its exquisite Apsara carvings and detailed Angkorian-era art. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.(own expense)

In the afternoon, explore the mysterious Royal City of Angkor Thom. Highlights include the Bayon Temple, with its 54 towers and massive stone faces. At first glance, it appears as a shapeless mass of stone, but upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the serene faces gazing out with half-closed eyes, conveying a silent, enigmatic presence from a primitive and remote era. Then, visit the surrounding complex, including the Baphuon Temple, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace, and the Royal Palace area, offering a deeper insight into the grandeur of Angkor’s ancient civilization.

In the evening, our driver will transfer you to restaurant for dinner with Apsara Dance show.

Your guide and driver will pick you up early from your hotel in Siem Reap and drive approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, covering about 120 km, to Koh Ker, the ancient Khmer capital from the early 10th century. Upon arrival, explore this remote archaeological site renowned for its impressive structures, including Prasat Thom, a massive step pyramid standing about 40 meters high, along with numerous smaller temples and statues spread over a large area. Koh Ker offers a tranquil and authentic experience with its well-preserved ruins and fewer visitors. 

After a morning of discovery, enjoy a local lunch near the site. 

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Beng Mealea, a sprawling jungle temple built in the early 12th century. Overgrown with vines and surrounded by lush forest, Beng Mealea provides a sense of adventure and mystery, with its crumbling stone structures and collapsed corridors. Spend time exploring these captivating ruins before heading back to Siem Reap in the late afternoon, arriving at your hotel in the evening.

Breakfast at the hotel, then our tour guide and private car will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer to Phnom Penh. 

With approximately a 6-hour drive, you will see different aspects of the country and the lifestyle of local people. You will 01stop at Skun, a local market known for its deep fried inspects specially spider. Local people usually eat them as their snacks.

Arrival in Phnom Penh, check-in, and overnight at your hotel

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and begin the tour with visits to the Royal Palace - a stunning complex and the residence of the King of Cambodia and the Silver Pagoda, famous for its floor paved with silver tiles and its revered Emerald Buddha. Next, you'll explore Wat Phnom, an important historical Buddhist temple situated on a hill offering panoramic city views, followed by a stroll through Central Market, a bustling hub of local commerce with a vibrant Art Deco design. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum, which houses an extensive collection of Khmer arts and sculptures that showcase Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage. Then, if you wish to reflect on Cambodia’s tragic past, you can visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - a former school turned prison during the Khmer Rouge regime; you may opt to skip this site if you prefer to avoid topics related to genocide and sad history. The tour continues with a visit to the Art Gallery, featuring contemporary and traditional Cambodian artworks. Finally, the day concludes with a scenic sunset boat ride along the Mekong River, offering breathtaking views of the sunset before returning to your hotel.

 Our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Phnom Penh, then travel to Chambok Eco-Tourism. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by the host and taken on a 4-km trek to see Chambok Waterfall. Afterward, return to the eco-tourism base to walk through the village and learn about the villagers’ daily lifestyle. 

An authentic lunch will be provided at the eco-tourism center. 

In the afternoon, you'll drive up the hill to visit the stone carving area, the silver warehouse, kirirom pagoda, and the former residence of the King. Then, walk to the viewpoint called Thmor Loy, which offers a stunning view of the surrounding hills and is a great spot for photos. Continue hiking through pine trees to reach an eco-resort for dinner and overnight stay. 

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your resort, then our driver will transfer you to Sihanoukville. Free and leisure on your own at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to visit the floating villages, daily activities of fishing in Ream National Park and then we take boat ride to view the Mangrove forest. 

BBQ lunch for fresh seas food will be provided on the site.

Continue to Sihanouk Ville, on arrival check-in at hotel and free at leisure.

In the morning, you will have a breakfast and then we picked you up to take a visit in Kampot. We will have a chance to visit pepper plantations, durian plantations and rice fields, which is famous in Kampot, and then have a lunch in a restaurant or local’s home in Kampot.

In the afternoon, we transfer to Sihanoukville. En route, we come to Bokor Hill. There is a cool climate, cloudy all over the year. It is 1080m higher than sea level, where we can have a great sight to Kep beach, Kampot and Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. It is such a must-visit place when you come to Kampot.

After breakfast, then check-out hotel and transfer to Rabbit Island and we ride the boat to visit Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsay). Koh Tonsay is located about 4.5 kilometers southeast of Kep. Tourists are drawn to the two beautiful white sand beaches. The sea here is shallow and has a long slope, making Tonsay excellent for swimming. At the sea bottom are a variety of corals, sea animals, and plants that attract researchers and ecologists. We get relaxation on the beach, and our guide will prepare great picnic seafood for you with nice and cold drinks.

Spent a beach relaxation until late afternoon. 

Then transfer to Kep for overnight.

Start early today for the nearly 3-hour drive to Ta Keo where the first capital city of Cambodia was in the 1st century. Leave the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh behind as you head south to Tonle Bati. Tonle Bati is a place of worship and features two ancient temples, Ta Prohm and Yeay Peov, and a pagoda, Wat Tonle Bati, which was built in 1576. Then we continue to visit Phnom Chiso, this mountain temple was built in the early 11th century by King Suryavarman I (AD 1002-1050), who practiced Brahmanism Constructed of sandstone and other stones, it is 60 meters long and 50 meters wide and sits atop a mountain. The temple is surrounded by two galleries. The first gallery is 60 meters long on each side. The second, smaller gallery is in the middle, where there is the main worship place with two doors and a wooden statue. There are beautiful sculptures on the lintel and the pillars.
