Angkor Tour 4 days/ 3 nights "the Secret of Angkor" is a 4-day journey that takes you on an adventure through the heart of Cambodia. Begin by exploring Siem Reap with a Tuk Tuk ride to the museum and market, followed by a street food tour. Discover the breathtaking ancient temple complex of Angkor Wat, and marvel at the intricate Khmer architecture. Next, visit Banteay Srei, a 10th-century temple renowned for its classical Khmer art.
Explore the floating village of Chong Khneas and take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap Lake, known as the "Great Lake" of Cambodia. Learn about local life and experience the unique culture and history of Cambodia.
The itinerary includes walking and kayaking through the village, with time to relax and take in the stunning views. The tour ends with your departure from Siem Reap. Join this unforgettable experience and discover the secrets of Angkor on this 4-day journey.
Itinerary
In early evening, explore Siem Reap night by tuk tuk to experience Cambodia's nightlife in full, from the local people's customs to the activities geared to tourists. Walking through the food markets, enjoy dinner with local beer/soft drink in local beer garden, insect salad with cocktail (if you are brave enough to try), visit night markets and or, you may want to try food massage by fish. At the end of the trip, take the short tuk tuk ride back to your hotel. Note* Set menu dinner (meal only without drink) at Chanrey Tree will be replaced if you are not familiar with local beer garden.
Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant (Own account)
Continue to the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred to the Rolous group we visit the main one called Bakhong temple.
Optional for sunset champagne (USD30/pax):
Enjoy sunset with a bottle of champagne in the rice paddies (Place to set up the table is flexible depend on season and suggestion from guide).
Afternoon, explore the mysterious Royal city Angkor Thom. City & Bayon. Its 54-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance it seems a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face, and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Further, visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is the same style to Ta Prom Temple.
On the way, you can take some fruits from the plants, enjoy a view of this wonderful area and interact with very kindly people in the village, a 30-minute old mean vehicle ox-cart ride through the rice paddies to reach at one big local house to see how this family doing daily work such as making rice wine and handicraft works meanwhile the member of the family will offer you of fresh coconut and some manmade rice wine to taste. Lunch is served at this clean and basic hygiene village house while chatting with the family to get in-depth understanding of the village life. Hop in your van for driving onward to the next destination, a floating community, Elephant Terraces where you take Kayak through houses, schools and even shops all sit bobbing on the water — though not in the dry season — as locals paddle around in traditional wooden boats. (Recommended from October – February)
This tour is expected to finish around 5:30pm
