On October 17, 2025, in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province (China), the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) officially announced the winners of the “Best Tourism Villages 2025” awards. Among those honored were two Vietnamese villages - Lo Lo Chai (Lung Cu Commune, Tuyen Quang Province) and Quynh Son (Bac Son Commune, Lang Son Province) - selected from over 270 entries representing 65 countries.
The award, which was launched by UN Tourism, has the goal of identifying and honoring rural places that have done a fantastic job in maintaining their cultural and natural heritage, promoting eco-friendly tourism, and elevating the living standards of the local population.
