The best way to experience the diverse scenery and rural cultures of Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam and Laos, is cycling. We designed the tour “Vietnam Laos Tour 6 Days: An Overland Biking Experience” to help travelers have the chance to explore these countries in an eco–friendly way. Starting in the historical site of Dien Bien Phu and ending in the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, this itinerary allows us to have an amazing experience and the moment to contemplate the variety of bewitching and scenic beauty, understand the diverse culture, architecture, cuisine between the Viet people as well as Laos people.

In the early morning, we will discover Dien Bien Phu, a historical site that once was as the heroic battlefield for the fight against the French and gain the independence for Vietnam people . We then cycle approximately 70km to the border crossing at Tay Tran. This northeast region area of Laos has the least population of Laos.

In the afternoon, we will go on cycling to Muang Khua along the majestic Nam Ou River.
You will stay overnight in Muang Khua.

After breakfast, we will begin our trip by cycling 75km along the main road to Oudomxai. Our road would be quite scenic and flat . Tthe provincial capital of Oudomxai became the center for Chinese army supporting Pathet Laos in the second Indochina War. Nowsday, it is situated at the main junction of National Road 1, 2 and 4 has made the city a booming Laos - China commercial center.

Stay overnight in Odomxai.

After having breakfast, we prepare for our water by fill up a personal water containers, and warm up our body by doing a bit exercise. Our riding today would be a tough climb due to passing plenty of hills but we will be awarded to enjoy magnificent.

Then we’ll make a stop to enjoy fast-food, snack, fresh fruits and mineral drink for additional energy and get ready to continue on to Pak Mong, where you will stay overnight.

Today would be our longest cycling day in our jouney. We’ll cycle as usual on the main road, passing through Ban Thabu, and will continue on along the majestic Nam Ou River. It’s an amazingly experiencing ride along the river, as we’ll cycle through different peaceful villages and have chance to look at the rural lives of the locals.

A picnic lunch will be served on the riverbank, we will get a power nap , and then ride to one of the most beautiful Pak Ou caves. We will reach Luang Prabang at the end of the day which serves as a World Heritage town.

You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Luang Prabang.
