Mekong Delta Tour 2 days: Cultural exploration of the Mekong Delta

A 1.5-hour bus ride passing through green rice fields takes you to the beautiful rural town of My Tho.

Arrival at the town of My Tho, visit the Vinh Trang pagoda, the oldest in southern Vietnam. Known as the largest pagoda and most distinctive architecture in the Mekong Delta. Its architecture was influenced by Vietnamese culture and Khmer culture, as well as European architecture.

In the morning, the excursion continues by motorized boat on the Tien River to Qui (turtle) islet. Along the way, you will see the fishing port, the houses on stilts, the boat-building workshops, and the other islets of the Dragon, the Phoenix, and the Unicorn. The cruise will take you through the Bao Dinh canal to enter Ben Tre province, "the land of coconut", to see a typical agricultural model called "Garden - Pond - Cage", then enjoy the candy mill coconut and relaxing honey tea. Then you won't be able to miss the incredible rowing boat ride on the small canal, completely covered by the shade of water coconut trees and cool breezes. Lunch will be served in the very heart of the orchard.

After lunch, we will walk along the village, visit the fruit garden, and taste the tropical fruits while listening to the folk music of southern Vietnam played by the locals of the island. You will also be able to participate in the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of this magnificent natural countryside.

Your expectations will be met by the final boat trip to MyTho on the natural channel of Tan Thach.

Then, a short walk through the narrow village path will take you to the bus and Can Tho town.

After breakfast, you first take the boat to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong. The boat then takes you to the Cai Rang floating market, which is the most original and lively in the region. Have you tried Vietnamese vermicelli noodles? So you will go and see how they are made. Then you will hike along the village to connect with the local people. You will have the opportunity to see how to cross a "rope bridge", built with a single bamboo.
