Ba Be National Park Tour 3 days 2 nights: Nature's Hidden Gem

Meet our guide at your hotel and head out to Ba Be Lake, which is about 250 km away and takes around 6 hours by car. On the way, we’ll stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the interesting Museum of the Culture of the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

Then, we’ll leave the main road and take a smaller, winding path through the mountains and tea fields, arriving at the Tay village of Bo Lu. Here, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a friendly Tay family in their traditional home, giving you a chance to relax away from the busy streets of Hanoi. In the evening, you can join your host to help prepare dinner.

Afterward, you can explore Bo Lu Stream and enjoy a fun experience with a fisherman before returning to your homestay for the night.

After breakfast, we’ll board a boat to sail through the three connected lakes, known as Ba Be, meaning "three bays." Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we glide past stunning limestone cliffs and navigate up the Nang River to an incredible site: Dong Phuong, a massive tunnel measuring 300 meters long and 30 meters high, carved by the river through a limestone mountain.

We'll take a hike around small villages along the riverfront, where you can witness the peaceful lives of the Tay and H’mong people amidst lush rice fields. The boat will then continue up the river to the small village of Hua Tang, where lunch will be served in a local house by the river.

After lunch, a short walk through the jungle leads us to the beautiful Dau Dang Waterfalls, a series of impressive cascades nestled between steep rock walls. You can continue along the trail to reach a large river bend bustling with local life, featuring a small "harbor." Here, locals unload goods to bypass the falls by motorbike and reload them onto boats to continue their journey across the lake.

After this adventure, we’ll return by boat for another lovely evening with your Tay family.

After breakfast, we’ll take a stroll along the riverfront and visit the charming Pac Ngoi village, where many Tay people still live in traditional houses. We’ll also hike the upper reaches of the lake, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and mountains. After saying goodbye to our local hosts, we’ll head to the stunning Hua Ma Cave, a dry cave filled with thousands of stalactites. As we pass through, you’ll have the chance to take amazing photos of the terraced fields.

We’ll stop for lunch in Cho Ra town before continuing our journey back to Hanoi. The trip will conclude around 5:00 PM.
