Itineraries

Your cruise begins at 9:00 am with a hotel pickup in Siem Reap, followed by a transfer by private, air-conditioned coach to Kampong Phluk Floating Village. Located on the Tonle Sap Lake’s Tanas River, this village is home to over 1,000 residents living in stilted wooden houses. The village features a school, temple, church, and various restaurants catering primarily to tourists. After the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (guest's own expense) before continuing to Kampong Chhnang, where you'll join the Mekong Dawn Boat.
The drive to Kampong Chhnang takes about 3.5 hours, offering a glimpse into rural life. Along the way, you can visit an ancient bridge in Kampong Thom Province or stop for coffee. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted by our cruise staff with a welcome drink before settling into your cabin as the boat begins its cruise through Kampong Chhnang’s floating village. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, sip drinks on deck, and take in the stunning sunset views over the water.
The day concludes with a delicious dinner, followed by a peaceful overnight stay on your floating hotel along the Tonle Sap River.

After a hearty breakfast to start the day, you'll be transferred to land via a smaller boat to visit the pottery village. Tuk tuks will be your mode of transport as you explore the stunning scenery of the province, with emerald green rice paddies, sugar palms, and smiling children greeting you from their stilted wooden homes. After the tour, return to the boat for a delicious lunch with a view of the beautiful water landscape, as fishermen float by on wooden boats, and children wave from the shore.
We’ll then sail towards Kampong Tralach, where upon arrival, you’ll have the option of experiencing an Ox Cart ride—a traditional transport still commonly used in rural areas—or enjoy a cycling tour to Kampong Tralach Temple. Afterward, return to the Mekong Dawn and relax with a sundowner, enjoying snacks and drinks as you take in the scenic water landscape.
As we continue our journey towards Oudong, the ancient Cambodian capital, you’ll learn that between 1618 and 1866, Oudong served as the country’s capital before it moved to Phnom Penh. The boat will dock at Koh Chen (Chinese Island), a small village famous for its silver and copper smiting. You’ll spend a peaceful night here, surrounded by the charm of the village and its heritage.

After a hearty breakfast, we will visit Oudong Temple, perched atop a mountain. You’ll tackle 509 steps to reach the peak, where you’re rewarded with breathtaking views and a collection of historic stupas, tombs, and memorials to explore. Afterward, we’ll return to the boat for a leisurely lunch as we continue our journey toward Phnom Penh. Our service concludes with an estimated arrival time of 2:00 pm.
