Your cruise begins at 1:00pm with a transfer from your hotel to the Mekong Dawn boat. After a warm welcome and check-in, enjoy lunch as we cruise toward Koh Dach (Silk Island). This rural Cambodian village is known for its traditional silk weaving, where locals spin and dye silk by hand. After the visit, return to the boat for a relaxing sundowner as we anchor for the night in a peaceful area.

The boat sets off toward Oudong as the sun rises, with plenty of time for a relaxed breakfast. Enjoy a gentle cruise down the river to Oudong, once Cambodia's capital. We dock at Koh Chen, a village known for its silver and copper craftsmanship. After lunch, visit Oudong Mountain for a brisk climb offering stunning views of the ancient capital. Explore stupas, tombs, and memorials from the 1618-1866 era. Return to the boat for a sundowner as we cruise toward Kampong Tralach, a picturesque rural area along the Tonle Sap River, where dinner is served amidst natural beauty.

After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a traditional Ox Cart ride to visit the Kampong Tralach Temple, built in 1841. Following the visit, return to the Mekong Dawn as we continue towards Kampong Chhnang, a town known for fish farming and pottery. Upon arrival, take a smaller boat to the pottery village, then hop on tuk tuks to explore the village and surrounding scenery—emerald rice paddies, sugar palms, grazing buffaloes, and children waving from their stilted homes. After the tour, return to the boat for a relaxing evening with dinner and drinks as you enjoy the river views.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before disembarking the Mekong Dawn and continuing by air-conditioned coach to Siem Reap. Along the way, we'll stop in Kampong Thom province to view an ancient bridge or take a coffee break, as you prefer. After lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense), visit Kampong Phluk floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. With over 1,000 residents living in stilted wooden houses, the village also features a school, temple, church, and restaurants catering to tourists. After the visit, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Siem Reap around 4:00pm, marking the end of your journey.
