Overview of Ru Cha Mangrove Forest

Ru Cha is a hidden-gem in Tam Giang Lagoon, located in Thuan Hoa Village, Huong Phong Commune of Hue City. The name “Ru Cha” is inspired by a type of tree that densely covers the mountain slopes and wetlands, in short, we can understand “Ru Cha” as a forest (Ru) planted with trees named Cha.

Back then, thanks to the area’s favourable water environment, Cha trees thrived and turned into a 5-hectare forest with its own unique ecosystem like what we have nowadays. With each passing season, the mangrove forest takes on a different hue: lush green in the spring and summer, golden tones in autumn, and a blanket of white when the leaves begin to fall.

How to get there

Over the years, the transport infrastructure has improved significantly, Ru Cha mangrove forest is extremely easy to access. You can choose from a wide range of transportations like renting a car or using their private vehicles.

Specifically, to get to Ru Cha, visitors should depart from the centre of Hue City, following National Road 49 in the direction of Thuan An for about 9 km. There will be a signboard directing vehicles towards Tam Giang Bridge. At this point, it’s about 4 kilometers to reach Ru Cha.
