Assemble at the office at 8:00 am and depart at 8:30 am by car, minivan, or truck. Travel north to Veunsai district and cross the Sesan river with a local ferry, travel on by motordub or pick-up truck or local trailers to the Kavet tribal village to meet your Kavet tribal ranger and start trekking into the jungle. Begin your trek through various landscapes and forest patches alternating with rice paddy fields. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a small farmhouse around noon.

Arrive at the campsite next to a beautiful river around 4:00 pm. Set up camp for the night and enjoy a delicious dinner near a campfire.

You get up at 5am and shortly thereafter trek for around 15 minutes to the yellow-cheeked crested gibbons inhabited area. You wait patiently for the famed gibbon calling, which starts at around 6-7am. When the family of gibbons arrives, they will call for around 15 minutes to mark their territory and you can observe them quietly. Gibbons are tree dwellers, they are monogamous and they live as a family like human unlike monkeys live as a pack and polygamy. Anyway, as they are wildlife to spot them there’s no guaranty!

Around 7:30AM return to the campsite for breakfast. After breakfast, trek along mainly off-beaten tracks through dense, lush, and old jungle, with paths often cut by a machete. After lunch, change the track and loop towards the southwest. Reach a campsite near a wonderful waterfall where you can cool off in the water. After a delicious dinner, start a gentle night trek. Armed with head torches, spend an hour trekking around the campsite before returning for the night.

After breakfast, trek through the jungle for three hours on a loop trail and reach back to the village Kavet tribal village. Enjoy lunch at the village and observe the daily lives and activities of the local people. Travel back to Vuernsai , cross the Se San river with the local ferry and then transfer back to Banlung. The tour concludes upon arrival in Banlung. You would arrive back in Banlung around 5pm.
