Doi Inthanon National Park Tour 4 Days: Explore Jungles & Waterfalls

Our first destination on the Doi Inthanon National Park Tour 4 days is Thailand's highest mountain, rising to 2,565 meters. This vital watershed boasts diverse forests and is home to the highest concentration of bird species in any protected area in Thailand.

On our way to the summit, we’ll visit the stunning Vachirathan Waterfall. After a short walk along a nature trail, we’ll stop at the two pagodas honoring the King and Queen of Thailand. Then, we’ll enjoy lunch before heading to the starting point of our trek.

We’ll trek through dense forests along local trails, with your guide explaining the different forest types along the way. The trek to the Karen Village of Khun Puay takes about three hours. Here, we’ll spend our first night of the "Explore the Jungles and Waterfalls of Doi Inthanon" trek. After arriving, you can relax, explore the village, or assist your guide in preparing dinner. Afterward, enjoy stories and camaraderie with the locals.

The day begins early in the mountain villages as part of your Doi Inthanon National Park Tour. After a restful night, you’ll find your guide preparing a delicious breakfast. Once we’ve eaten, we’ll continue our trek, soaking in the natural surroundings and stunning views.

Today’s hike will last about four to five hours, with plenty of opportunities for photos and breaks. We’ll primarily walk downhill to another Karen village, where the Karen people have lived for at least 120 years.

You’ll have time to explore the community and practice your language skills while your guide prepares lunch. The Sgaw Karen greeting is “Tablu.”

After lunch, we’ll hike through the forest to the small and serene village of Huay Hoi. Here, your guide will involve you in preparing dinner and will explain the herbs and ingredients used in local cuisine. After dinner, you can visit a village house to meet some locals. You’ll spend the night in the village, immersed in the experience of the Doi Inthanon National Park Tour.

After breakfast, we’ll continue our trek for about five to six hours. If you prefer a shorter walk, we can adjust the route, but this is classic trekking at its best! Enjoy the fresh mountain air and stunning views.

We’ll stop at the Karen Village of Baan Huay Khao Lip to explore before heading to a waterfall for a relaxing picnic lunch. After lunch, we’ll hike through the forest to Mae Sapok, another Karen village where we’ll spend the night. After dinner, you’ll have the chance to visit a village house and learn about the local customs and traditional dress. Your guide will ask villagers to showcase the beautiful attire of the Sgaw Karen people.

Then it is time for our last overnight in the village. Sleep well!

Wake up to the sounds of roosters and the vibrant life of the village. After an early breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to the village and trek uphill for nearly an hour, followed by another hour downhill to a stunning waterfall where you can relax and take a refreshing swim.

Next, we’ll continue to the main road and drive to a local house for lunch, featuring delicious Thai specialties. After our meal, we’ll head to a small rafting camp on the Wang River. Our bamboo rafts will be ready for a leisurely 45-minute ride. Please note that the minimum age for bamboo rafting is six years, and for your safety, you’ll be required to wear a life jacket during the ride.
