9:00 AM: You'll be picked up from your hotel to begin your journey to Mu Cang Chai Ecolodge. The scenic drive will take approximately 6.5 hours, during which we’ll make a brief stop in Thanh Son to admire the picturesque tea plantations dotting the hills.

Continuing on, we'll pass through Thu Cuc and Nghia Lo before making a highlight stop at the renowned Khau Pha Pass. This mountain pass is celebrated as one of the four greatest passes in Northern Vietnam. If you’re traveling during the rice harvesting season, prepare to be awed by the breathtaking panoramic views of the valley from the pass-perfect for capturing memorable photos along the way.

The terraced fields are a breathtaking highlight of the Mu Cang Chai plateau, with several key sites to explore. Among these, La Pan Tan is the largest and most beautiful terraced field in the region.

8:30 AM: After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the Ecolodge, we'll take a short drive of 12 km to La Pan Tan, often hailed as a paradise for terraced fields. Your day begins with a climb along winding slopes, but any fatigue will quickly fade as you're greeted by a scene that resembles a fairy tale. The grandeur of the terraces will leave you in awe-remember to conserve your phone and camera battery for this picturesque journey!

After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you'll reach the iconic symbol of Mu Cang Chai: a large, round terraced field resembling a golden tray nestled among the vast mountains.

For lunch, enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or opt for a picnic to refuel for the rest of the day. After lunch, we'll drive another 4 km to Mang Mu Commune, an area that remains largely rural, dotted with Hmong villages. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the friendly locals and learn about their way of life.

After about 1.5 hours of climbing, you’ll arrive at the center of some of the most stunning terraced fields, shaped like a horseshoe-a popular new photography spot for professional photographers.

After soaking in the majestic scenery, you’ll begin your descent and head back to the Ecolodge. While you wait for dinner, take some time to review the incredible photos you’ve captured throughout the day!

8:00 AM: After savoring a delicious breakfast, bid farewell to the comforts of your room and check out as you begin your journey back to Hanoi. On your way, we’ll make a delightful stop at the Thai Village in Tu Le Town, nestled in a picturesque valley. Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of this charming village, taking in the sights and sounds that make it unique.

Feel free to consult your knowledgeable tour guide for recommendations on a local restaurant where you can enjoy a satisfying lunch. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of this meal.

After relishing your meal and experiencing the warmth of Thai Village, you’ll continue your return journey toward Hanoi. Your final destination will be the captivating Hanoi Old Quarter, where history and modernity blend seamlessly.
