Cat Ba Tour 2 Days: Explore Cat Ba Island and Lan Ha Bay

At 8:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi for an unforgettable day in Cat Ba Island. On the way, we can make a few stops for a short break and admire the surrounding landscapes.

At 10:00 am, we will arrive at Giot port to take the ferry for about 30 minutes to Cai Vieng, then head to Cat Ba Island. At 11:00 AM, you can check into your room at your hotel in Cat Ba Town (if the room is available, otherwise the normal check-in time is 2:00 PM).

At noon, we will serve you a traditional Vietnamese lunch in our restaurant with 5-6 local dishes. Then you can explore Cat Ba town or go to the beach on foot during your free time.

At 2:00 pm., our guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you to Cat Ba National Park. You will have 2 hours to hike through the Kim Giao Forest, which provides the wood for the chopsticks. You will reach the top of the mountain where you can admire the beauty of the forest and enjoy a peaceful moment. If you're lucky, you might even spot wildlife such as squirrels, snakes, frogs, or thousands of butterflies.

At 4:30 p.m. we will return to your hotel so you can relax and stroll around the island in your free time. You will spend the night on Cat Ba Island.

The next morning, at 8:00 or 8:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Ben Beo Pier, just a 10-minute drive away. We will then take the boat for an excursion to Lan Ha Bay, known for its towers of limestone rocks emerging from the sea.

We will pass by the fishing village of Cai Beo, the most traditional in northern Vietnam, as well as one of the largest floating villages of Cat Ba. We will navigate among thousands of karst towers with unique shapes, such as rods and seals.

At 10:30 am., you can explore the natural lagoon area belonging to Lan Ha Bay by kayak, through dark and light caves, tunnels, and arches. If you're lucky, you might even spot Cat Ba langurs, golden-headed monkeys.

At 12:30 pm., the boat anchors at Ong Cam Islet for a sumptuous traditional Vietnamese and vegetarian lunch, while sailing through the beautiful Halong Bay and admiring the bay's fascinating rock formations.

Then, the boat continues sailing to southern Halong Bay, passing Dau Be Island, Vung Vieng fishing village, Virgin's Arch, and Kite Arch.
