Itineraries

At 08:00 AM, guests will meet our English-speaking guide, who will be holding a welcome sign at the Chiang Khong immigration office. The guide will assist guests in exiting Thailand and help them board the shuttle bus to the Lao border (this transfer is included). Upon arrival at the border, our guide will assist with the visa application process. After obtaining the visa, guests will take a shared minivan transfer to the slow boat pier to embark on the boat.
During the morning, our guide will provide a brief lecture on the Do's and Don'ts in Laos, along with some fun facts about the country. A traditional Lao lunch will be served on board.
Before reaching Pakbeng, we will make a stop to visit a traditional Kamu village (Ban Keng Lae), a small, cozy community of about 70 families. Travelers will have the opportunity to learn about rural life in this remote area.
The boat will arrive in Pakbeng before nightfall, where guests will check in to their hotel for an overnight stay.
Note:
We recommend that travelers arrive at the Chiang Khong Thai immigration border by 07:45 AM to ensure they meet our team on time (the border opens at 08:00 AM).
If travelers are already in Houay Xay, we will arrange pick-up from their hotel between 09:00 AM and 09:30 AM.
The boat will depart Houay Xay no later than 10:00 AM.

The boat will depart from Pakbeng at 08:00 AM, offering guests a chance to enjoy the beautiful nature and jungle along the journey. In the morning, our guide and cook will give a brief demonstration on making local handicrafts, and they will also prepare some traditional Lao desserts and local drinks, which guests will enjoy later in the afternoon.
A traditional Lao lunch set will be served on board.
The first stop will be at Ban Muang village, a small community famous for producing Lao Lao whiskey. After the visit, the boat will continue to the Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting), which houses over two thousand Buddha statues. This is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for the Lao people.
After the visit, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy homemade desserts and drinks prepared by our team.
The boat will arrive in Luang Prabang before 4:30 PM, marking the end of the services.
