Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Wattai National Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your accommodation for check-in.
The afternoon of the Vientiane 3 Days Tour: Explore the Sacred Land will begin with a visit to Vat Sisaket, a resilient temple built in 1818 that remains the only monument surviving from the 1828 Thai invasion, making it a key local landmark. Next, we’ll explore the Ho Phrakeo, the former Royal Chapel, which houses a beautiful emerald Buddha in a stunning, ornate setting dating back to the Lane Xang Kingdom. We will also visit the Patouxai, a triumphal arch honoring the independence struggle from France in the mid-20th century, and the magnificent That Luang stupa, a gold-covered structure dedicated to Buddha.
The day will end with a beautiful sunset over the Mekong River, followed by a visit to the vibrant night market, offering a range of exotic sights, sounds, and smells. After a day filled with culture and history, you will spend the night in Vientiane.
After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the National Museum, formerly known as the Lao Revolutionary Museum. Here, you'll discover a collection of valuable artifacts and photographs documenting the long struggle of the Pathet Lao political movement. These priceless items reflect a significant chapter in the nation's history. The tour then continues to the Kaysone Phoumvihan Museum, a remarkable exhibition showcasing Laos' key cultural milestones. As the leader of the Revolutionary party, Kaysone played a crucial role in shaping the country into what it is today. The museum also features a replica of his childhood home, providing a glimpse into the life of a respected national figure.
In the afternoon, explore the vibrant Ta Lat Sao market, a central commercial hub in Vientiane. The market offers a wide variety of goods, including antiques, textiles, souvenirs, jewelry, and local handicrafts, which represent the essence of the region. It is also a key trade center, where you can find a diverse range of products sourced from neighboring areas.
The day ends with another peaceful evening in Vientiane, immersed in the rich culture that has flourished in the city for centuries.
This is all part of the Vientiane Tour 3 Days: Explore the Sacred Land, an unforgettable exploration of Laos' historical and cultural heritage.
In the morning, you will have a chance to enjoy breakfast, and a bit of free time to explore on your own. When the time comes, we will gladly transfer you back to the airport in time to make your flight on to your next adventure.
