Itinerary

Arrive in Vientiane and transfer to your centrally located hotel. The capital of Laos, Vientiane is a unique blend of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American cultural influences. Begin your Vientiane 2 Days Tour: Cultural Highlights and Buddha Park Exploration with visits to the city’s key sites, including Wat Ong Teu Mahawihan, originally built in the 16th century by King Setthathirat, and later rebuilt in the 19th century after destruction during the 1828 Siamese invasion.
Continue to Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and Wat Prakeo, a former royal temple that once housed the revered Emerald Buddha. Stop by the iconic Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s answer to the Arc de Triomphe, where you can take in beautiful views. Dinner is on your own, followed by an overnight stay in Vientiane.

Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, then head out to explore Buddha Park, an intriguing open-air collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures scattered along the Mekong Riverside near the Friendship Bridge. This unique site features around 200 religious statues, created by a visionary monk who used the sculptures to share his philosophy and worldview.
After a morning at the park, return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant. A brief stop at a private museum offers insights into Laos' rich textile heritage, housed in a traditional Lao wooden building surrounded by a tranquil garden. Inside, you’ll find historical looms, ethnic silk pieces, and a variety of ancient household items on display.
Next, visit the COPE Center, an educational site with impactful exhibits on the "Hidden War" in Laos, providing a deeper understanding of the country’s recent history. From there, continue to the revered That Luang Stupa, Laos’ national symbol and most sacred monument.
Finally, stop by Talat Sao, the vibrant Morning Market, where you’ll experience the local flavors and sights, with stalls overflowing with rice, tea, fresh produce, and traditional foods wrapped in banana leaves. After a memorable day, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Tour ends.
