Bolaven Plateau Trek Tour 2 Days: Nature & Adventure Highlights

We drive up to the Bolaven Plateau, once part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, passing through local tea and coffee plantations along the way. Our hike begins at Ban Hue Jiet Village (home to the Ngae ethnic minority), where we trek through coffee plantations and the Dan Sinxai limestone area - an especially scenic part of the Bolaven Plateau - before reaching the stunning Champi Waterfall, a perfect spot for a picnic lunch and a refreshing swim.

After lunch, we continue our trek to the famous Tad Fane Waterfall, standing at an impressive 220 meters, followed by a visit to Tad Yaung Waterfall. From there, we are transferred to Ban Nong Luang, where we will spend the night.

In the late afternoon, we have time to explore the village, enjoy a delicious dinner, and participate in a traditional Baci ceremony.

Duration of the Trip: Approximately 2.5 hours transfer and 5 hours trekking.

After breakfast and bidding farewell to your host family, we begin our hike to the Dan Noy limestone cliffs, where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Dong Hua Sao National Protected Area. Along the way, we’ll discover a rare 1000-year-old Rosewood tree. Next, we take a short, easy trek to Tad Chet Zun Waterfall, a stunning seven-tier waterfall.

Continuing through the jungle, we pass Tad Suea Waterfall before reaching Dan Ngai. On the journey, you'll observe various herbs, wild orchids, and take in the scenic beauty of the Champassak area and the Mekong River.

After lunch, we hike back to the village using a different trail, and then transfer back to Pakse.
