From Bangkok’s royal temples, vibrant canals and romantic dinner cruise, to the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya, the artistic temples of Chiang Rai and the charming old town of Chiang Mai, this journey brings you through some of Thailand’s most iconic highlights.
The special moment of the trip is the Chiang Mai Lantern Festival, a once-a-year celebration where thousands of lanterns light up the night sky. After cultural discoveries and elephant encounters in the north, unwind with relaxing beach days in Phuket.

Itinerary
Warmly welcome you on arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. We will pick you up with a comfortable vehicle to the center of Bangkok to check-in your hotel.

After breakfast, we visit the Grand Royal Palace dedicated to the ceremony of the royal family of Thailand.
In the same compound is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew which is known for the Statue of the Emerald Buddha.
After visiting this complex, we continue to visit Wat Pho, a giant house of the lying Buddha. Then, we visit the Wat Traimit which is well known as the Golden Buddha.
Lunch at local restaurant (on your own expenses).
Afternoon, boarding on a long tail boat for an excursion along the Chao Phraya River and many bustling interior canals that offer fantastic views of local life close by.
Along the way, we stop at Wat Arun, the temple of the Aube.
In the evening, we’ll board a boat for a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River. While sailing along the “River of Kings,” you’ll pass by Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and the Grand Palace, beautifully illuminated at night. After the cruise, return to the pier and transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, depart to visit the Ayutthaya Historical Park, located in the ancient city of Ayutthaya. Once the capital of the Kingdom of Siam, the park features impressive temple ruins built in red brick and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your first stop is Wat Mahathat, one of the most iconic sites in Ayutthaya, famous for the Buddha head entwined within the roots of a tree.
Continue to Wat Chaiwatthanaram, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, the temple reflects strong Khmer influence, with a central prang surrounded by smaller prangs symbolizing Mount Sumeru.
Then visit the ancient Royal Palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once the most important temple of the royal court.
You will also explore Viharn Phra Mongkol Bophit, home to one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in Thailand.
Lunch is at your own expense.
In the afternoon, visit the elegant Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, built during the Ayutthaya era and showcasing a unique blend of European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese architectural styles.
Return to Bangkok for your domestic flight to Chiang Rai.
Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Morning after breakfast drive to Black House. Baan Dam (Black House) is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee. Part art studio, part museum, part home, Baan Dam is an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs.
Move to Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple) The Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten literally translates to ‘temple of the dancing tiger.’ It was built on a site where tigers were said to have jumped over the river.
Then, we visit the White temple, Wat Rong Khun. It nevertheless very recent temple is the most visited monument in the region, the work of Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, started in 1997. Its creator himself announces that he will only be completed 60 to 90 years after his death. Its uniqueness, its whiteness, making it a unique temple of its kind. In wihaan a fresco mixing Buddhist codes with Matrix, Star Wars, the bombing of the Twin Towers in New York and even Kung Fu Panda stands out from the usual decorations such monuments.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (on your own charge) before driving toward Chiang Mai. En route, take a relaxing break at the Mae Kachan Hot Springs.
Arrive in Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

The morning will be mainly devoted to the walking tour of the old town with a stop at the old wall, the moat and a door of the old town. You will see the most beautiful temples of Chiang Mai: Wat Phra Singh temple, Wat Pan Tao temple, Wat Chedi Luang temple.
Then you will stroll along small streets lined with traditional houses, where you will take rickshaw tour.
After that, you will take a walking through the central market of Warorot before visiting to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep on Doi Suthep, one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai. Climb the 329-step staircase flanked by mythical Naga serpents to reach the temple terrace, where you can admire the golden chedi and enjoy panoramic views over the city.

A full-day Elephant Jungle Sanctuary package offers visitors the opportunity to get to know each of the remarkable elephants and gain a special understanding of their daily lives and behaviours. Experience life with the elephants in their natural home – a freely roamed environment which is both safe and sustainable. Located in a densely forested mountainous region, the Sanctuary is surrounded by spectacular jungle scenery.
You will be picked up from your place of accommodation in the morning, and travel around 1.5 hours from Chiang Mai to the Sanctuary location. Breathe clear mountain air as you drive through the beautiful agricultural countryside of Northern Thailand, and get a glimpse of local life outside of the city. When you arrive at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, an English-speaking guide will walk with you to the Sanctuary, and teach you a little about elephants and the local way of life. Get changed into traditional Karen clothing, listen as your guide tells you more about the Sanctuary, grab some bananas and sugar cane for feeding, and you will be ready to meet the elephants!
Then you will meet and interact with each of our friendly elephants personally. Learn about elephant’s behavior, and discover the unique and interesting history of each elephant as you touch, play, feed, and photograph them. Once you have met and spent time with each of the elephants, you will enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit, before being re-united with your elephant friends.
At this point during the day, you will walk alongside the elephants to a nearby river and join them for a bath in the refreshing water. Here, you will have the opportunity to bathe and brush the elephants while they enjoy wading through the water. Next, it will be time for a therapeutic mud spa. Feel free to get muddy as you cover the elephants in a protective layer of mud. Have fun playing with them and watch as they joyfully frolic in the mud spa.
When it’s time to say goodbye to the elephants, you can take some final photos with them to preserve this precious memory, then head upstream and wash off your remaining mud, or relax with a swim in the fresh, clean water. Finally, you will change clothes and return to Chiang Mai, experiencing the drive through picturesque rural scenery in the pleasant glow of the afternoon sun.
