Arrival in Singapore, transfer to your city hotel and free time. 2 nights in Singapore.
The city-state of Singapore is one of the most modern world metropolises and fascinates with its cultural diversity. Modern and traditional Asia can be felt here with futuristic architecture, shopping paradises, narrow streets and shophouses in Chinatown, the spice markets in Little India and the cloth merchants in the Arab Quarter. During a city tour in the morning, you will get a first insight into the life and history of this lively cosmopolitan city. Free time in the afternoon.
And Singapore offers culinary delights from the world's cuisines in the evening!
After the Singapore experience, you will travel on to Malaysia today! At the border you briefly change vehicles before continuing your journey past Malaysian villages to Malacca. In the afternoon you will visit Malacca (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Founded by the Portuguese and later ruled by the Dutch and British, Malacca has a long history.
Chinese merchants have been living here since the 14th century. The Bab Nyonya ethnic group emerged through marriages with Malaysians. You can see the church "Saint Peter", the old Portuguese quarter, the "Dutch Suare" with church, city hall and clock tower. Overnight in Malacca.
Your onward journey today takes you to the multi-faceted capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. After arrival, take a city tour. You will see, among other things, the National Mosque, Independence Square, the Petronas TwinTower and discover the colorful Chinatown. After checking in at the hotel, free time. Our tip: Visit one of the night markets in the evening and explore the fantastic Asian food stalls! 2 nights in Kuala Lumpur.
Free time for your own explorations. How about a trip to the observation deck at the Petronas Towers for a fantastic panoramic view of the city!
Or optional program: Visit to the Batu Caves and the Royal Selangor Tin Factory. After breakfast, you will visit the Batu Caves, one of the most important pilgrimage destinations and shrines for the Hindus. The limestone formations are up to 400 meters long and 120 meters high and contain several colorful, decorated Hindu temples. Return to the hotel and free time in the afternoon.
After breakfast transfer to the airport and flight to Bangkok. Reception by the tour guide, transfer to the hotel and free time. 2 nights in Bangkok.
Today you will embark on an exploration tour of Bangkok. You will visit the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po), the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Trimmit) and the Marble Temple (Wat Benjamabophit). Free time in the afternoon.
At around 7:30 a.m. you leave Bangkok by bus heading north. Your first stop will be in the former capital of Siam, Ayuthaya. The numerous temple ruins indicate the former importance of the city. The huge Viharn Phra Mongkol Bobitr statue is particularly worth seeing. After the visit we continue to Sukothai. Overnight stay in Sukhothai.
Today you will visit the famous Sukhothai Historical Park. The temple ruins from the 13th century are particularly impressive. Sukothai was also the first capital of the Kingdom of Siam and is considered the cradle of Thai culture. The journey continues to Chiang Mai, where you will see the Wat Phra Singh temple with the Phra Singh Buddha representation during the city tour. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Today you will visit the landmark of Chiang Mai city - the Wat Doi Suthep temple, which is located at an altitude of 1,050 m. On clear days you have a fantastic view over the city and the province of Chiang Mai. In the evening you have the opportunity to discover the night market on your own. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
This morning is at your leisure. You can relax at the hotel until midday, sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast.
Or you can take part in an optional excursion to an elephant camp (payable locally, approx. THB 1,500 per person). In the early afternoon drive to the small town of Doi Sakhet. On the way visit the well-known handicraft stores of Chiang Mai. The handicrafts of the Chiang Mai region are world famous. Here you can visit umbrella makers, teak carpenters, silk makers and silversmiths. Today you will spend the night off the beaten track in a small resort.
Today you leave Chiang Mai and your first destination for the day is Lampoon with probably the most beautiful monastery complex, Wat Phra That Haripoonchai, from the time of the Mon Kingdom. The temple complex, which faces the river, is one of the most revered in Thailand, as some of its buildings date back to the 9th century. Continue south with a stop in Lampang at Lampang Luang with the Emerald Buddha. Then continue to the provincial capital Phitsanulok. Overnight in Phitsanulok.
You visit the well-known Wat Phra Sri Mahathat from the 13th century with the imposing "Buddha Jinaraj". Afterwards you continue via Lopburi with a detour to the Monkey Temple. In Sarburi you stop again briefly to see the Phra Buddhabath, a supposedly historical one Footprint of the religion founder Buddha, to visit.
End of the tour in Bangkok in the evening. Transfer to Bangkok airport and flight back to Germany.
