Ha Long Bay Cat Ba Island Tour 3 days 2 nights: Journey to Tranquility

At 07:00-07:30, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and take a shuttle bus to Cat Ba Island, making some stops along the way for refreshments. By 12:00, you'll arrive at Beo Harbor, where you’ll transfer to the Sunlight Cruise. You can enjoy a welcome drink while we give you information about the cruise and safety rules before you check into your cabin.

At 13:00, you will have a special lunch with fresh seafood and other tasty Vietnamese dishes as we sail through the beautiful islands. By 14:30, the cruise will take you through Lan Ha Bay, entering the lovely Cua Van area, known for its amazing rock formations. You can explore the bay on your own by kayaking through the Dark & Bright caves.

At 16:30, you can take a refreshing swim nearby, or jump from the top of the boat into the water. At 18:00, you’ll come back to the cruise for a cooking class where you’ll learn to make fresh spring rolls. Dinner will be served at 19:00, with delicious local food prepared by our great onboard staff. After dinner, you can have fun with squid fishing or karaoke. Finally, from 20:00 to 21:00, join us for “Happy Hour” on the sundeck, where you can enjoy free local beer with the group before spending the night on board.

You’ll wake up at 06:00 to witness the stunning sunrise breaking through the clouds over the bay, though note that winter may not offer a sunrise view. By 07:00, breakfast will be ready for you in this peaceful bay. At 08:00, we’ll set off on a 5 km bicycle ride to Viet Hai Village, a charming spot nestled in the jungle and surrounded by the towering mountains of Cat Ba National Park.

By 09:30, you'll ride back to the boat for a shower and some time to relax before checking out. At 11:00, we’ll serve a special lunch featuring fresh seafood and other tasty Vietnamese dishes as we sail through the islands. By 12:00, we’ll arrive at Beo Harbor, where you’ll transfer to Cat Ba Town to check into your hotel and have some free time to explore.

At 14:00, our local tour guide will take you to visit Cat Ba National Park, using either a motorbike or car depending on the group size. This park is a popular spot for both local and international visitors, and you’ll have the chance to snap some great photos from the top of Ngu Lam Peak.

Next, we’ll head to Trung Trang Cave, a mysterious place with a unique ecosystem, home to various creatures like bats, birds, and insects. The cave's lighting is kept minimal to help preserve its natural environment. Please note that this part of the schedule may be adjusted to the next day.

Finally, at 19:00, dinner will be served at the restaurant, and you’ll spend the night at the hotel.

You'll wake up at 06:00 to enjoy the beautiful sight of a blazing sunrise breaking through the clouds over the bay, although winter may not offer this view. Afterward, take some time to relax at the stunning beach of Cat Ba Island.

At 11:00, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before checking out of your hotel. By 12:00, you’ll hop on the bus to head back to Hanoi, saying goodbye to the beauty of Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island.

You’ll arrive back in Hanoi at around 16:30, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel.
