For the ones that want to experience all the wonders of southern Myanmar, this short tour will introduce you to all the magic of the south including of the hub city Yangon, the ancient capital Bago, the famous monument Golden Rock, the charming capital Hpa-an, and the first waterfront capital Mawlamyine. Our professional and experienced tour guides will help you to get the insights of the southern Myanmar. You can just enjoy and experience all the wonders that this magical region has to offer.
Highlights
- A visit to this world’ largest pagoda in Yangon that you will be mesmerized
- Discovery the local crafts making, markets, and heritage sites of Bago.
- Visit one of Myanmar’s holiest pilgrimage sites to the Golden Rock (Kyaikthiyo), a boulder covered in gold leaf that miraculously, delicately balances at the edge of a cliff
- Explore Hpa-an, the charming trading capital of Karen State blessed with beautiful topography of limestone karst mountains.
- Visit Thanbuzayat the last station of the infamous death railway build by POW during the IIWW

Itinerary
Visit 55-metre-long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha image and Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which is over a thousand years old. Its spire is even taller than that of Yangon's Shwedagon Pagoda. Next we will visit Kyaik Pun Pagoda with four giant sitting Buddha images. We then continue our journey to Kyaikhtiyo “the Golden Rock”- a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. After arrival at Kyaikhtiyo base camp, transfer to an open truck and drive for 1hr to the upper staging point. Continue for 45 minutes of easy hiking to the summit. Enjoy and overlook the magnificence view of the surrounding area and overnight stay in Kyaikhtiyo.
