Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival
(D)
Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer at Tan Son
Nhat Airport. After lunch.
We
pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy
before we visit the Reunification Palace which
was the former residence of the President of
South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some
French colonial structures including the Notre
Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office.
After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War
Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the
bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and
everything is for sale. Overnight in HCM city
Day 2: HCM city - My
Tho - HCM City
(B,L,D)
Heading out of the town, we travel by roads to
the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's largest rice bowl.
On arrival in My Tho we embark on a boat
navigating around the intricate small canals in
the delta region, which is a great way to
observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a
view dotted by many islands. The exciting
excursion will pass the lush green vegetation
before arriving at the famous Unicorn Island.
Here we have opportunities to stroll around an
orchard, taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy
wonderful traditional music. The next stop of
our trip is Ben Tre Province to visit some
fascinating local industries. After feasting on
a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh, stopping
off along the way to see the beautiful Ving
Trang Pagoda and the Cho Lon, Saigon’s
Chinatown, which is crammed with sacred temples
and mysterious, narrow lanes.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh city - Tay
Ninh - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City(B,L,D)
The
head quarter of Cao Dai sect is located in Tay
Ninh. This religion was founded in 1923 and now
numbers over 2 million members. After breakfast
we travel by roads to Tay Ninh to see the ornate
temple of Cao Dai and attend the fantastic
mid-day service when the followers fill the hall
wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious
combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and
Buddhism. Afterwards we continue to the famous
Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible
underground network constructed by Vietnamese
fighters during the long struggle for
independence. The tunnels contained hospitals,
plus accommodation and schools, and were used as
a military base for the Vietcong in the American
war
Day 4 :
HCM city
- Dalat (B)
This morning we leave Ho Chi
Minh City and head for the hills, literally. We
will stop for lunch at the picturesque Dambri
falls, about 15km from the highway. Here you may
get the chance to have your photo taken next to
an elephant! Arriving at Da Lat,. We follow this
with a trip to the summer palace of Vietnam's
last Empero. From here we visit the rather
bizarre and very aptly named Crazy House, a
brightly painted concrete house which winds
itself around trees, mimicking their shapes. It
now functions as a guesthouse. This evening we
will head out to one of the fine restaurants of
Da Lat
Day 5 :
Dalat-Nhatrang (B)
Our drive today will take us out
of Da Lat and back down the Prenn Pass for a
stop at the ''Chicken village,'. From here we
will head east and down the Ngoan Muc pass to
the coastal lowlands. Our destination for today
is Nha Trang, the country's premier Resort town.
This part of the country was once inhabited by
an ancient civilization known as the Cham, and
our next stop will be at the Po Klong Garai Cham
tower. This amazing structure, which has endured
the test of time, the elements and indeed war,
was built in the 13th century. We will stop for
a late lunch at Cam Ranh Bay and arrive in Nha
Trang by mid to late afternoon.
Day 6 :
Nhatrang-Phanthiet (B)
Nhatrang is Vietnam's premier
beach resort with a sugar white beach shaded by
swaying palms and lapped by the warm South China
Sea. It is easy to see why. A busy fishing town
with picturesque scenery in its charming harbor,
Nhatrang boasts beautiful ancient towers built
by the architects of Champa Kingdom. No wonder
Vietnam's last emperor, Baodai set his summer
villa here overlooking the South China Sea and
Nhatrang Bay. To make it complete, Nhatrang has
beautiful beaches and stunning site. A boat trip
to nearly by fishing villages or a scuba diving
trip or just have a mineral mud-both at nearby
by natural mud spa is absolutely wonderful when
stay in Nhatrang. In the afternoon we drive to
Phanthiet
Day 7 :
Phanthiet (B)
The sleepy fishing town of Phathiet is about 200
km up the coast from Ho Chi Minh city. Today we
have whole day at leisure to explore sand dunes
are just relax on quiet beach.
Day 8 : Phanthiet -
Ho Chi Minh city
(B)
At leisure at this lovely beach destination. We
then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city in time
for your flight home.
