This 3-day
trip offers a glimpse into the agrarian life
of the vibrant southern Delta region as we
wind our way through the tributaries of the
Mekong Delta. From our boats, we are able to
closely observe the daily rituals of river
life and participate in the bustling
commercial activities as we buy our fruits
from the floating market. Along the way, we
will visit an orchard farm, handicraft
village, and a land market with an abundance
of colorful fresh fruits and vegetables
Day 1: Ho
Chi Minh City - Chau
Doc (L ,D)
Our stour starts with a drive through the
Mekong Delta to the town of Mytho for a
visit to the local markets. After browing
through the markets we board our riverboats
for a cruise along the endless waterways of
the the Mighty Mekong. One of our stops will
be to Xeo Quyet forest, which was an old
Vietcong stronghold during the American war.
From here we will continue onto LongXuyen
where we will board our vehicle for the
drive to Chaudoc. Diner and Overnight at
hotel in Chau Doc.
Day 2: Chau
Doc - Can Tho (B, L)
ChauDoc town is situated close to the
Cambodian border. While here we visit a
bonsai before heading up to Sam Mountain for
a bird's
eye view over the paddy fields towards
Cambodia. Once off the mountain we embark on
a boat cruise along the river to visit a
fish farm. From Chau Doc we drive to visit
White Bird sanctuary in Thotno. Continue
onto Cantho where we stay at hotel in Can
tho
.
Day 3: Can
Tho - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City ( B,L)
We enjoy breakfast and drive to Vinhlong
where we board our private boat for a
cruise to visit Cai Rang floating market
and fruit gardens in Vinhlong. We are
treated to a local style lunch before our
journey back to Ho Chi Minh City
